Here is a brief report of the WBBSC August 17th .22 Rimfire Benchrest Shoot from David Boelter: (and please do come and shoot the September 21st date as well)
I'd highly recommend you to get your .22 and shoot one of these events. A scope is a good idea though, as the 1 7/8 inch diameter bullseye is pretty small at 50 yards for my 50 year old eyes! Entry fee is $5 for members and non-members as well. Less than 50 rounds of 22 rimfire ammo is all you need, as 25 shots are for score, and an unlimited number of sighter shots. You have 25 minutes to shoot your target, including sighters. You should be able to do this event in less than one hour time invested. Call or email Dave at (262) 483-3701, d-n-dboelter@sbcglobal.net for questions or info. Great Fun!

5/5/2008, Your Feedback Is Needed Please! Below I noted the "New Style" shooting benches (two so far) on the hi-power rifle range. Turns out one of the ringleaders who took part in building the benches is non-other than the Famous Dan Gourley. Dan wants your feedback regarding good or bad qualities of these benches. He intends to build more and now is the time to let Dan know your opinion. Call Dan, and remember he IS famous, at (262) 388-0683.

I've Noted a couple "New Style" shooting benches on the Hi-Power Rifle Range. Very Nice, and a "Thank You" to the people responsible for building them!

Heads Up Members! We need to know who would like to read the WBBSC "Square Shooter" newsletter online in lieu of having the newsletter mailed to them. There is a hyper link to it on the home page as well as above on this page. A benefit will be a cost savings of postage and printing. Please email wbbsc@charter.net your feedback and I will forward to Jim P. for review.

Tom Derson, a WBBSC member and our National Rifle Association Captain, emailed this:
To All Sportsman Clubs:
This is a plea that all too often falls on deaf ears, tuned out ears, etc. The number of clubs that are prone to think that someone else is responsible for funding the organizations that back our right to own and use weapons in the pursuit of our hunting, plinking, target shooting, concealed carry rights and so forth. Well, I know better! The anti-gun factions are well organized and fully funded. We as Second Amendment supporters must do our part personally and in conjunction with our clubs find the funds that are necessary to combat the anti-gun advocates who want to take away and destroy our rights as sportsmen and gun owners. Just one cogent thought about all of you and your sportsman’s clubs: If you can’t own guns there will be no need for your clubs! Please rethink this scenario where someone else will fund our fight to preserve our Second Amendment Rights. It is not true, you and your clubs are the someone else. Dig deep and do your part to keep our shooting sports alive and well. One more thing, this is an on-going fight. Along with your support a one time, feel good donation doesn’t do it. The anti-gun owners never stop, so we have to continue the fight with ongoing support and unfortunately, this continues to cost money. The bottom line is that you are doing it for you and your rights, no one else. Take action.
Sincerely, A Staunch Second Amendment Supporter
